Perfect postage anniversary

I promise these are the last of my recent anniversary cards commissions... I've used the idea that I created from my friends 1st wedding anniversary a couple of weeks ago, but varied the colours and made them more general. You could easily switch one of the images in the squares for something specific to the anniversary celebrated, like I did on this card.

Anniversary hearts

I have yet another anniversary themed card to share with you today. I saw something like this on the web and had to give it a go, sorry can't remember who I CASE'd it from, please let me know if you recognise it and I will give them credit.

Happy Easter with chocolate bunnies

Happy Easter to you all!

I didn't plan to make any Easter cards this year, but I did receive a small commission request for some, so decided to use one of my previous ideas (see old post here) to save time.

I changed the colours around and bit and scared myself using the Every Egg Stampin' Around wheel, with Chocolate Chip ink... got there in the end though.

Materials:
Base - Pool Party and Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock;
Other cardstock - Chocolate Chip and So Saffron;
Stamp sets - Perfect Postage, Every Egg (Wheel)
Sentiment - Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Anniversary birds

I seem to get a lot of commissions for anniversary cards. And although I love to create new designs, I still revert back to using my Bird punch for these as it just works.

Batik in Koh Lipe, Thailand

Whilst I was in Thailand last year, I had a chance to create a piece of batik.

Batik is a cloth that is traditionally made using a manual wax-resist dyeing technique, and something I have tried before. But this was in 35 degree temperature, outside... and I was pretty chuffed with the outcome.

Here's a few pictures showing what I got up to...

Drawing the design, from scratch!
Waxing the outline

Colouring

Final background colouring

The finished piece :)

Cocktail cheers for a 30th birthday

Last month was my crafty friend, Amy's, birthday. And I almost forgot to send her a card *slap*! Fortunately my craft stash was on hand quickly and I rumbled up something just to mark the occasion, as it was a special birthday for Amy this year.

I was excited to get to use a new stamp set for this one - the numbers from the ABC-123 Outline set that Stampin' Up! released in their new (still current) catalogue last year. I was in a rush so the photo wasn't too good, but here's another I made for a commission just this week using the same idea.

Materials
Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango cardstock and ink, on a Very Vanilla base.
Stampsets - Happy Hour and ABC-123 outline.

Baby's quilted blanket

This post is long overdue... after I returned form my travels I have struggled to get everything onto my blog. Whilst I was away, my good friend had a new baby. And this is what my mum created for me to give as the new baby present.

A handy quilted blanket... which doubles as a counting chart for her elder son too. The baby room is bear themed so I'm hoping they have been using it lots since I gave it to her in January.

I will be sharing some of the other quilting projects created by my mum from time to time... they are just too good not to show you :).

Happy birthday with cream tea

My good friend Cat is another year older today, so I made her this little card to celebrate, along with the related gift...

It uses the cut little Patterned Occasions stamp set from Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration event in 2013. It's retired now, but I still use it for a variety of cards. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners set, also from Stampin' Up!.

If you look closely you'll see the little hearts and diamante's, created using the heart on the Owl Punch.

1st wedding anniversary card and gift idea

Despite both of them forgetting to get a card for the other, I remembered!

My very good friend Cat and her husband Mark, celebrate their 1st wedding anniversary today. And with a theme of clocks and paper this one was easy to create :).

I've also been working on a scrapbook present, or Smashbook as it's better known. Here's the page from the official wedding day at the registry office.

Plenty more to be completed with all sorts of bits and pieces I've collected up from their first year together. Just how I can finish it before their second anniversary ;).
