Practice mindfulness with crafting

Mindfulness is extremely important in supporting wellbeing and is available to us all for free, and yet it's only when we are aware of this and make the time for it that we benefit.

Crafting is my go to mindful practice of choice and I cannot recommend enough the calming effects of being creative. So, of course this is what I spend a lot of my time doing. We all need to be kind and look after ourselves, and others.

Even if you're not creative - daily activities can be completed with mindfulness. Take a moment, practice being present in that moment. Whether taking a shower, drinking a cup of tea or just breathing. We can all do it and often don't have a moment to think, but grab a minute when you can and give mindfulness a go.

Concentrating on a task, and being in the moment can create an almost meditative state.

I'm currently supporting Mind - all proceeds from handmade cards and crafts will be donated to this important charity.

In the meantime here are a couple of sites with further information on mindfulness:

Most importantly, be kind to yourself. Take care x
