Birds for all occasions - owl punch

Well, as promised today I have the cards we made at my Birds for all occasions class on Sunday.

I've already shown you one of the cards sometime ago - see here, but there were a couple of other animals created with this fabulous punch... in fact, I came up with so many idea's it was so hard to choose, so I gave the class attendees a choice for the last card:

The card base is Whisper White and I've used a crop-a-dile to punch holes down the left hand side of the card and then weaved a length of Early Espresso grosgrain ribbon through the holes and then back again and tied in a knot.

Next I punched a scallop circle, from the Halloween DSP (with the black cats) for the Cat card and from Soft Suede card stock for the Pig card, and then mounted a 1'3/8" punched circle of Whisper White card stock embossed with the Square Lattice embossing folder, using my Big Shot machine.

The cat was created as follows:
- Head - owls body, with its feet chopped off;
- Features - eyes and heart shape with pupils cut to size by hand;

The pig was created as follows:
- Head - owls body, as above;
- Eyes and nose - eyes pieces;
- Body and fee - owls belly (turn it upside down).

The sentiments are from the For my Family stamp set.
