On Valentines Day

Well I couldn't let Valentines Day pass without a card could I!?  Happy Heart Day everyone x

I CASE'd this idea from a card I saw created by Amy during our last crafty get together.  I've used a Basic Grey base and added Cherry Cobbler card stock for the background, along with a strip of DSP from the Be of Good Cheer paper pack.

The cute Giraffe's are from the Zoo Review stamp set, which I have stamped twice side by side in Soft Suede ink and then punched out with the Heart punch and added another heart punch shape from Melon Mambo behind it before raising up with Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Alphabet Occasions stamp set and has been stamped onto Cotton Ribbon.

Valentines verse

I have another of the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets to share with you today - Vintage Verses.

This is a lovely sentiment set which could be used for a number of occasions.  With Valentines Day coming next month, you may want to consider selecting this limited edition set for your Sale-A-Bration choice.

If you do not already know what Sale-A-Bration is all about - check out the details here.

My crafting partner in crime, Amy, kindly made me some samples using this set and this one is perfect for Valentines:

Amy has use Basic Green with Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla to co-ordinate with some of the Be of Good Cheer DSP from the main catalogue.  Using the Heart Punch for the main feature and one of the lovely sentiments from the Vintage Verses stamp set.

If you look closely you will see the faux stitching along the Very Vanilla strip, which just finishes this card off nicely.

You could easily change this card around to suit an anniversary or engagement, and even for a wedding invite... love it!

If you would like to get your hands on any of the Sale-A-Bration products just contact me to place your order and for each spend of £45 you will be able to select one of the limited edition items or something from the main catalogue.

Don't forget I have my launch event on Saturday 2nd February at 2pm too...

Christmas wrapping

I still have quite a bit of non Stampin' Up! crafting stash that I am selling off for charity - see here for more.  If you would like to stop by at my home (GU16) and take a look either today or tomorrow then please contact me.

Yesterday, I had a crafting session with a few friends.  Amy arrived with a little gift for me, which she had wrapped in some of the Be Good of Cheep DSP with a cute card/tag on the front...

This is such a cute card, created using the Scentsational stamp set 'gingerbread man', inked in Chocolate Chip onto Whisper White card and then cut out with the co-ordinating Holiday Collection Framelits dies.  Amy has teamed Real Red and Old Olive (Christmas favourites!) and some more of the Be Good of Cheer DSP for the base and added a Teeny Tiny Wishes sentiment and some cleverly placed 'hearts' from the Owl Punch (cut from Old Olive) to create a 'bow tie' and 'bow' on the gingerbread people :).

What a great idea!

Favours at Christmas

I really miss the retired Pillow Box die.   Even though I am not supposed to share projects with you using retired items, I know that many people have this die and it's ideal at this time of year for creating little favours for the dinner table, so I couldn't resist sharing this with you...

The tag is from the Beautiful Season stamp set, which I have inked with Early Espresso and coloured with Stampin' Write markers.  You can make these boxes so quickly so they are great for favours and for gifts such as jewellery too :).

Stampable ribbon

Have you ever tried stamping on ribbon... sometimes it just runs and goes all blurry?  Well, not with the Cotton Ribbon in the Autumn/Winter Stampin' Up! catalogue (see page 20).

There's even a stamp set designed to work with the ribbon:
And here is a fabulous card idea which showcases this set and the ribbon too...

Created by Diane who is a fellow demonstrator, this card teams the 2012-2014 In Colour range Raspberry Ripple and Gumball Green.  You can see the stamped ribbon is very effective.
