Christmas wrapping

I still have quite a bit of non Stampin' Up! crafting stash that I am selling off for charity - see here for more.  If you would like to stop by at my home (GU16) and take a look either today or tomorrow then please contact me.

Yesterday, I had a crafting session with a few friends.  Amy arrived with a little gift for me, which she had wrapped in some of the Be Good of Cheep DSP with a cute card/tag on the front...

This is such a cute card, created using the Scentsational stamp set 'gingerbread man', inked in Chocolate Chip onto Whisper White card and then cut out with the co-ordinating Holiday Collection Framelits dies.  Amy has teamed Real Red and Old Olive (Christmas favourites!) and some more of the Be Good of Cheer DSP for the base and added a Teeny Tiny Wishes sentiment and some cleverly placed 'hearts' from the Owl Punch (cut from Old Olive) to create a 'bow tie' and 'bow' on the gingerbread people :).

What a great idea!

Christmas tags

At my Christmas accessories class last week we made a selection of tags, a bag and a box, all to co-ordinate with the Christmas cards made in the previous weeks.  Here are the tags:

In case you want to check out the cards I've added links here:

1. Polar Party - here.
2. Scentsational Season - here and here.
3. Happy Hour - here.

Last chance cards class and mini catalogue launch

Today I have my last chance cards class where we will be using products that retire this month.  Sadly, in the time between when I prepped for the class and the drafting of this post, the stamp set featured on one of the cards we are making is no longer available :(.  I hope the ladies won't be too disappointed, as it is an adaptable card layout.

It's the Fox and Friends stamp set, which I am so sad to see go from the main catalogue.  Here is the card we will be making...

I was going to make an alternative card with this layout, using the Bird Builder punch to create little birds in place of the monkeys, but I have got completely distrated this morning dealing with an unexpected delivery (!), more about that another time.  So, apologies that I haven't got another card to share with you instead.

Thankfully most of the other products we are using today, still (currently) remain on the retiring products list which you can see here.  If you haven't already looked and want to order something please don't leave it too late, as these products are only available whilst stocks last.

I'll be sharing the other cards with you over the next few days so check back soon.

As well as the class I have my Autumn/Winter mini catalogue launch event this afternoon from 1pm.  I can probably still accommodate a few more crafty people if you fancy coming along, just give me a call on my mobile on 07968 951957 to let me know.

Here is the very quick make and take project that we will be doing using some of the new products from the mini catalogue...

This card features the lovely 'gingerbread man' from the Scentsational stamp set.  The great thing about this set is that there are co-ordinating dies for cutting out each image so you can create a batch of card very quickly.

I have also used some of the papers from the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper pack on page 20 of the Autumn/Winter mini catalogue.  And as I keep saying... these papers are great for other occassions, not just Christmas so well worth including on your wish list :).  You will see that I have also added a strip of Old Olive card stock embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and then added a sentiment in co-ordinating ink from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set...

New Autumn/Winter mini catalogue

Yes, it is finally here and you can order products from today!  Just contact me to place your order and during September, if your order is £45 or more I am offering FREE postage.  Alternatively if you live close to me and can collect your products I can combine with other orders and save on postage (normally £4.95).

There are lots of festive stamps and designer papers... so I thought I'd share a card with you using some of these items.

The base is Rich Razzleberry (an old favourite) which I have combined with some of the new papers from the Autumn/Winter mini catalogue - 'Festival of Prints' on page 20.  What is great about these papers is that although they have a Christmas theme there are lots of sheets you can use for other occasions.  What's even better is that they come in 11.4 x 16.5cm sheets and you get 4 each of 12 double sided designs...

For this card I've used a strip cut at 5cm and then snipped into it.  I have then adhered a piece cut with the Labels Collection Framelits dies onto a larger framelit cut from Daffodil Delight card stock and placed this over the paper strip.

The 'mug' image is from the new Scentsational Season stamp set on page 16 of the catalogue.  I have inked it in Rich Razzle berry and then die cut a star from Daffodil Delight and run this through the Square Lattice embossing folder.

The stamp set has 6 stamps which are of a Christmas theme and they have co-ordinating framelits dies so you don't have to cut them out:

Absolutely adorable!  And as you can see they could work on non Christmas cards too :).

As well as the new mini catalogue products the retiring products from the current main catalogue were announced today.  I'll have more details tomorrow but if you can't wait until then here's the link to the list.

You can contact me today to place an order for any of these items, and remember they are first come first served.
