Bloomin' Boho Blossoms and bundle offer

Here is the make and take project we made at the demo.  It features the Bloomin' Marvelous SAB stamp set along with the Boho Blossoms punch.  

I've used some of the 2012-14 In Colours for this card.  The 'leaves' from the Bloomin' Marvelous stamp set have been stamped randomly in Gumball Green onto Whisper White and then punched out with the 1 inch square punch and mounted on Summer Starfruit coloured shapes punched from the Perfect Postage punch.  I've then added flowers from the Boho Blossoms punch and Basic Rhinestones in the centres.

Finally the 'hummingbird' from the Bloomin' Marvelous stamp set has been inked in Raspberry Ripple and stamped onto Whisper White and carefully cut out and mounted with Dimensionals and the sentiment has been inked in co-ordinating ink.

Like me, my sister loves the colour purple... so for her birthday I of course had to include this on the card I made for her!

I've used a Wisteria Wonder base and coupled Rose Red and Perfect Plum along with Shimmery White card along with the Perfect Postage Stamp set.

I've also embossed the Rose Red Perfect Postage punched shapes and used Versamark ink and White embossing powder to add some variety to the card.

Reminders for next week

By my calculations it's Friday (sorry, scheduling posts at the beginning of the week again)! I'm running out of projects to share with you but with any luck I will get to do some crafting this weekend.

I have a couple of reminders for you for next week:

I'm hosting a Come and Craft event next Friday from 6.30pm at my home (GU16) - contact me to book your place.

Bring your craft stash and come along for a few hours and make a few cards and share inspiration.

If you are a beginner or do not have your own materials, you will be able to purchase pre-prepared card packs to make and I will be available to provide any necessary guidance.

Please bring your own glue (supplies available for purchase if necessary).

Secondly, if you don't know already... don't forget that the Spring mini catalogue ends on Monday!  So wanted to share a couple of ideas with you using one of my favourite stamp sets and co-ordinating punches before they retire... it's the Perfect Postage set....

I've already shared a few cards with you that uses this stamp set, so here is another one which uses one of the stamps in the background, designed by Amy.

And this one uses the punch along with a few other items:

I've used the Perfect Pairs sentiments stamp set from the main catalogue as these fit nicely inside this punch, and as you can see you can create a border too.  I've used Whisper White and Rose Red for the sentiment on this card.  The image is from the lovely Button Buddies stamp set which is designed to fit the Designer Buttons... so cool!

Other materials:

Scallop Trim Border punch, Paisley Petals DSP.

Easter bunny

With Easter on it's way why not send a card or two this year and minimise the calorie intake?

This card gave me the chance to have a play with one of the Stampin' Around wheels - Every Egg.  I've not really used these much but I was very surprised to find how easy these are to use and the effect is brilliant.

I've inked the wheel with Marina Mist and stamped onto the bottom of a Bashful Blue base. To decorate I've coupled Chocolate Chip and So Saffron card stock, with a little embossing, punching and stamping.

Materials:

Punches: 1'3/8" circle, Scalloped circle, Word Window.

Stamp sets: Perfect Postage, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Every Egg.

Ink: Chocolate Chip, Marina Mist.

Embossing folder: Perfect Polka Dots.

Patchwork papers

Quilting or patchwork projects are becoming very popular, but you don't need to get out your sewing kit!  Why not try using this idea with patterned papers to achieve a similar effect.  I've CASE'd this card idea from Cate, but have used the Perfect Postage punch instead to create the squares.

For the card base I have used Crumbcake and then layered a piece of Very Vanilla onto this and then placed each of the patchwork pieces side by side.

The image is from the Perfect Postage stamp set with co-ordinating punch, both from the current mini catalogue that is available until 30th April.  I've inked the stamp with marker pens to get a variety of colours for the candles and then stamped this onto Very Vanilla and mounted on a Curly Label punch shape cut from Poppy Parade card stock.

I love the way the Stampin' Up papers, card stock and inks all co-ordinate, as I've also used Poppy Parade ink for the sentiment (from the For My Family stamp set) and Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon behind the image panel.

You can use any patterned papers to create a patchwork card, so it's a great way to use up some scraps which if you're anything like me, you've been keeping safe to make something with :).

Night time owly

By the time I got home last night I was too exhausted to blog... I'd been out with a couple of mates, in part to celebrate one of their birthdays, and in part for some night time walking :).

Here's the card I made him - with a night time owly!



It was very quick and simple using the Owl Punch which does all the hard work (and the bird punch for the wings), I just had to choose the colour scheme.  The background is made from 4 punched squares created with the Perfect Postage punch and the sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

So I do owe you an extra post... and subject to the rather significant pile of work that I need to get through today I will try and post something else this evening.

Perfect Postage punch

I've shared a few cards with you that features punched shapes using the Perfect Postage punch which is available in the current Spring Mini Catalogue until the end of April.  As well as the co-ordinating stamp set this is a great punch for creating panel or for sentiments.

Here I have used it to create background panels in DSP and the sentiment panel used to prop up the card.

The colours are Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Whisper White and Chocolate Chip and the stamp is the lovely Motorcycle which can be found in the individual stamps near the front of the main catalogue.

Tomorrow is my crafty get together so check back then for my project and hopefully some of the others in the coming week.

Another gift card holder and upcoming classes

Yesterday I shared with you an idea for a gift card holder.  So here is another design which is slightly more masculine.  The only difference other than the colours is that I have used the Curly Tag punch and Perfect Postage punch for the tag and one of the stamps from the Perfect Postage stamp set too.



Colours are Old Olive and Basic Black with Tempting Turquoise DSP from the Brights Collection.

My next class is for Mother's Day and will be on Friday 16th March.  We will make at least 2 different designs and they can be adapted for other occasions too so why not come along and give it a try.  Full details are on my Classes page but the morning session is almost full so book your place asap by contacting me.

Then on Sunday 25th March I have an Easter class (be special request) where you can make 10 cards...

New Perfect Postage stampset

I have a quick gift box project to share with you today which features the Perfect Postage stamp set and co-ordinating punch.

- Box: Very Vanilla cardstock cut using the Pillow Box die and the Big Shot machine, stuck together with red tape (normal double sided isn't strong enough!).

- Ribbon: Pear Pizzazz sation ribbon.

- Image: From the Perfect Postage stamp set (mini catalogue) inked with Pear Pizzazz and Peach Parfait, using marker pens to stamp both colours at once.  Punched out with the co-ordinating punch and then fixed onto a Pear Pizzazz piece of card punched with the Curly Label punch.

Quick calendar gift

I can't believe we are already halfway through January!  I meant to make some calendar gifts for people this year but have only really gotten around to a couple of samples so far. 

This little calendar is great for a desk or fridge... oh and fantastic for Save the Date cards (check back tomorrow for something I have been dying to share with you!).

The base is Basic Black run through the top note die using the big shot machine.  I love my big shot and use it all the time... I was a initially little hesitant to make the investment but it gets so much use I have no doubt that is was worth every penny!

I've decorated the calendar with a scalloped circle cut from Rish Razzleberry cardstock and then used one of the images from the new Perfect Postage stamp set which features in the new Spring Mini Catalogue - I've inked this with Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive ink (markers to get 2 colours on the same stamp) onto Whisper White and then punched it out with the new punch that co-ordinates with this set before mounting onto the scalloped circle using dimensional sticky pads.

Just to finish I couldn't resist adding some Old Olive brads... and of course the calendar (pick up 10 for a quid ...).  Great quick gifts which you could give at any time of you or as I suggested earlier would be great for Save the Date cards!
