Take note

I'm off on holiday today... to America and flying into Vegas.  There will be some travel blog posts to follow so do keep an eye on my other site.

In the meantime here is a little post it note holder decorated with one of the stamps from the For the Birds stamp set in the main catalogue.

The holder is made from Bashful Blue card stock and I've added a square of Pretty in Pink and Whisper White and then inked and stamped the image in Early Espresso.  I've coloured parts of the image with Stampin' Write markers to co-ordinate.

If you would like to make some of these for yourself you can find the dimensions here.  They make great gifts and you can also add a calendar on the front or inside (with a small note pad) instead given the time of year?

Post it gifts

Today I have post it note holder to share with you.  These make great gifts and you can make 3 from an A4 sheet of cardstock.  I made a whole pile of these the other evening in a variety of colours... got a little production line going, which I generally hate to do...but varied the designs a little to make it more enjoyable.

Full details of dimensions can be found here.

For this version I have used Basic Black cardstock for the base, to match the wine bottle tag from yesterday's post.

The 'leafy' image from the Just Believe stampset has been inked in Marina Mist and stamped 3 times along the base of a Whisper White square and then mounted on a square of DSP.  The sentiment is also from the Just Believe set, but I've only inked the 'for you' part.

Here are a few more ideas using different stampsets:

Gift set

Today I have a little gift set to share with you.  It's made using the Clearly for You stampset and I have used the image with the berries inked up with Perfect Plum and Wild Wasabi.

To make the post it note holder (see  instructions here).  I have used a piece of Elegant Eggplant for the base and coupled this with Perfect Plum. The other tools used include the Scalloped Circle punch, Eyelet punch and 1 3/8 Circle punch, however you could easily make the project using some other punches or tools.

Post it note holder

As promised here is one of the gifts made at my class on sunday.  It's the same post it note holder which was in one of my scheduled posts (see here) but using the Every Little Bit stamp set instead.

Materials:
Every Little Bit stamp set (120558);
Patterns DSP stack - brights (117155);
Rich Razzleberry ink pad (115658);
Rich Razzleberry marker pen (120970);
4.4cm scalloped circle punch (119854);
Stampin' dimensionals (104430);
*Blender Pen (102845);
Basic Rhinestones (119246);

To make the holder, cut the A4 Rich Razzleberry cardstock at 21 x 9 cm and score at 9cm, 10cm and 11cm from one end.  Then fold at the 10cm scored line. You will notice the top is shorter than the bottom.

To create the pen holder cut two snips equal distances from the ends. Then open out and apply some double sided sticky strip on the end sections.  NB You do not want to put adhesive in the middle section.  When you stick this down the pen holder can then be made to come away from the card - try this until it works before sticking the tape down.

Then to finish:

Decorate the front.
Attach sticky notes to holder.
Attach magnetic strip to the back.
Enclose a mini pen.

10 days to go until I can craft again!

I will be back from my travels on 1st October, although sadly will miss Cate's catalogue kick off party.  I have a class scheduled for the 2nd however, where I will be showing you how to make 2 little gifts, a wine bottle tag and a card, all with the same stamp set.

When scheduling this post I still had a couple of places left for this class so it's worth emailing me if you are interesting in booking to come along.  Check out the full details here.

So with only 10 days left until I return here is an idea for a post it note holder... which will be one of the gifts ideas included in the class on the 2nd October - albeit using a different stamp set.

This version uses the crown from the Clearly for You set and has a cute girly pink them using Melon Mambo cardstock.  I even found a pink mini pen for it.
