Easter flowers

I have a very quick card to share with you today, which would probably work quite well for other occasions as well as Easter, with just a change of sentiment or colour theme.

The little daffodils were created with the Boho Blossoms punch and then I've punched out circles using the eyes from the Owl punch for the centres.  The sentiment is from the Wacky Wishes (hostess) stamp set, inked in Bashful Blue.

I've not really had a chance to play with the Honeycomb embossing folder from the Spring/Summer catalogue but I totally love it... so, more ideas to follow!

Penguin greetings

As promised yesterday, here is the card I made for my friend Nathan.  I've gone a bit out of my normal comfort zone and used Night of Navy from the Regals collection, for the colour theme.

The cute little penguin is from the Zoo Review stamp set in the main catalogue, inked in Basic Black, with a party hat added (cut from a scrap of DSP) and topped with a brad.  I've added some brads to the side of the card to match and add a more masculine feel...

This card could be used for any occasion with a change to the sentiment of course!

Other materials:
Sentiment - Wacky Wishes (hostess only);
Embossing folder - Perfect Polka Dots.

Creative Min

I'm finally off on my travels today, so will only have periodic posts for you whilst I am gone.  I'm unsure of my return date, but do check out my travel site for the latest on what I am up to if you are interested.

Today I have card made by my lovely friend Min.  Although not as crazy about crafting as me, Min certainly has a creative side.

There is lots of embossing going on with this card using a Basic Black base and coupling this with Raspberry Ripple.

Other materials:

Beautiful Butterflies embosslits die;
Argyle embossing folder;
Decorative Label punch,
Wacky Wishes stamp set (hostess only);
Basic Pearls.

Happy Christmas 2012

Well, Happy Christmas to you all!

Here is my last Christmas card for 2012, which I made for my parents.  You will see the card includes a little box for those christmass tealights that I showed you recently.

It was a bit fiddly to get the right dimensions for the box, and which I had forgotten to note down before sending the card, but if you are interested, just email me and I will get these for you :).

The card base is Basic Grey and I've used Cherry Cobbler run through the Argyle embossing folder for the background.  The sentiment is from the Wacky Wishes (hostess set) inked in Marina Mist and of course those little 'gingerbreads' are from the Scentsational stamp set.

Thank you flower

Believe it or not this is quite a quick card to make... if you have a Big Shot machine :)!

The base is Pink Pirouette and the Top Note has been cut out of Regal Rose and then a piece of DSP from the Festival of Prints paper pack (yes this pack is great for non Christmas cards too!).  The Fun Flowers die has been used to create the layers of the flower in Regal Rose and Pink Pirouette with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder run through the Regal Rose pieces.

You can just make out the leaves in the photo, punched with the Bird Builder punch from Crumbcake and then sponge daubered with Chocolate Chip ink.

The lovely sentiment is from one of the Hostess sets - Wacky Wishes...

I will be placing an order at lunchtime today, so if you live close to me (GU16) and would like to save on postage costs please let me have your order by 12 noon.  To contact me just email jadedcrafter@gmail.com

It's another busy weekend for me, with the last week of work coming up as well, so more to follow on Monday.  Have a good one!

First Christmas card club session

It's that time of year again... I actually can't believe it was a year ago since my last Christmas card club started!  Last night I had my first session and we made 3 cards, 4 of each design.

Here's the quick card that easily became the one that took the longest... tying all those bows!

The base is Whisper White and then I've embossed a piece of Real Red with the new Argyle embossing folder and attached it as the background.

The Old Olive strip has been embossed with the Stripes embossing folder... and then each of the candy canes from the Scentsational Season stamp set in the Autumn/Winter mini catalogue has been cut out with the co-ordinating dies.

The sentiment is from one of the new hostess sets in the main catalogue, Wacky Wishes, but I've just used the first part of the wording and then punched it out with the Decorative Label punch.

All very straightforward until those bows... created with Lucky Limeade bakers twine... a little bit fiddly to say the least.  The trick is to have a much longer piece than you need, to tie the bow and then cut the ends off.

If you would like to order anything from either of the catalogues of book one of the remaining spaces on my upcoming Christmas card club sessions, just email me at jadedcrafter@gmail.com

Check back tomorrow for another one of the cards we created...
