Piñata for a birthday

I love the piñata that features on the Packed for Birthday stamp set that is in the current Summer mini catalogue. The stamp itself is just £8.95 which I think is a bargain given how many images there are on it that you can use...

So for this card I have cut out the piñata and the bunting and created this card which is a bit of a take on the card featured in the mini catalogue on page 26.

I've used Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder from the 2011-13 In Colours.  The bunting was inked up and stamped using my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get it in the right place - this tool is a total life card saver and I cannot craft without it :)!

The sentiment is from the Apothecary Art stamp set, inked with Pool Party ink onto Whisper White and then mounted on a strip of Pool Party card edged with the Eyelet Border Punch.  I've used a length of Bakers Twine to hang the piñata and added a little bow... you get approx 23m of twine on a reel and it's just £2.50.  As you can see it has been featuring from time to time on a lot of my cards, tied around cards, panels, butterflies (as antenna) and used for tieing on buttons.

Scalloped envelope box idea

Well, I got back safely from Sweden yesterday and then had a frantic rush to get myself to Cambridge... and this is the first chance I have had to have a moment to myself.

What a lovely weekend... I can highly recommend Gothenburg for something laid back and full of things to do and see, but be warned it is very expensive to eat/drink there.  We managed to keep within a reasonable budget so I can still afford to go away again sometime :).

Anyway, with so much to do and so little time I didn't even manage to bring much craft stash with me here, so please forgive my fleeting post.

I've created a box using the scalloped envelope die, with some little gift tags, which would make a quick gift.

The box was created with Pool Party card stock, very easy to make with just 2 shapes cut with the die using my Big Shot machine.  I've then added a designer button with some of the bakers twine (current summer mini catalogue) tied through it.

Inside the box I've made some little gift tags/cards with the Packed for Birthday stamp set (also from the current summer mini catalogue), coloured with Stampin' Write markers.

Apologies in advance for any period of radio silence that follows... I haven't had a chance to make anything for a few weeks and this weekend looks like another working one, but I will do my best and get some new ideas posted as soon as I can :).

Un-packing for birthdays

The new Packed for Birthday stamp which retails at just £8.95 went down well at my catalogue launch last week.  We used the individual images rather than the whole stamp and a couple of the ladies came up with their own ideas by changing the image on the make and take project... but you'll have to turn your head to see them!

So here is another card to share with you, where I have cut up the little images from this stamp again.

The colours are Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party and I have created a Whisper White tall card base for a change.  I've then cut a strip of the Wisteria Wonder and mounted this onto 2 strips of Pool Party to create the border.

I have then punched out Scallop circles from Pool Party and added a 1 3/8" circle punch in the centre, which I have embossed with the Square Lattice embossing folder.

Each of the images from the Packed for Birthday has been carefully cut out and then coloured wiht Stampin' Write markers and then stuck on with dimensionals.

Finally a sentiment from my favourite go to stamp set - Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched out with the Word Window punch.

If you like this stamp as much as I do why not place an order - just contact me at jadedcrafter@gmail.com.

Summer mini catalogue launch

This evening from 7.30pm I am hosting my Summer mini catalogue launch at my home (GU16).  It's FREE, a great chance to have a look at some of the new products and you will be able to catch up with some like minded people over a glass of wine.

If you would like to come along, it's not too late to let me know... just contact me via email at jadedcrafter@gmail.com or telephone 07968 951957 and I will send you details of my address.

The make and take project will feature the new Packed for Birthday stamp which retails at just £8.95 and I will have a special offer available to help you start building up your craft stash at a discount.

If you can't make it along but want to place an order and save on postage (if you can collect from me) then I will be finalising my order on Saturday, so let me know by then.

And finally, here is the card we will be making...
