Mr and Mrs Owly

Today I have a wedding card to show you made with the Owl punch.  This is just such a versatile punch, anyone who doesn't own it really should get one!  

I've had a little play around with the punch shapes to create the outfits for the groom and bride, and everything is created with just the punch.  Check out some of my other Owl punch ideas here.

I've also created a background with the Honeycomb embossing folder and added a sentiment from the Petite Pairs stamp set, punched out with the Curly Label punch.

A few favours

If you have been following my blog you will know that I was responsible for making the wedding favours for my friends wedding in Mallorca.  You can see the previous designs here.  

The final design chosen was the plain butterflies with the Champagne Glitter paper and I also made some standing place cards for the children using the Scallop Circle die - you can just see them to the right of the photo.

It was a lovely wedding and I can safely say, thankfully it went without any problems, despite me being in charge of the table plan, wedding favours and hair ;).

I forgot to take a picture of the hair in all it's glory, but managed to grab a couple of photos towards the end of the afternoon after the curls had dropped a little - I'm still proud of it though!

Happy Birthday Cat

Happy Birthday to my very good friend Cat who is erm.... one year older today ;)!

In my mad rush to get out of the UK back at the beginning of February I was frantically trying to get all my cards made for people who's birthday it was whilst I was away.  I didn't realise I would be back earlier than planned, so this card was a quick and simple one.  I'm sure Cat won't mind as my crafting skills are being taken advantage of put to good use by her over the next few days, so I will make up for it ;)...

Colour refresh - stock up before it's too late

Stamp in' Up! announced yesterday that they are refreshing the Core Colour Collections.
 

From the next annual Catalogue which comes into effect on 1 July the Core Colour Collections will include 10 new colours - four of which are brand new and six of which have been part of In Colour Collections (although not necessarily in the UK!)

Some of the other colours move collection to give them a fresh lease of life while others will leave the collections for good.

 

You'll notice there are TEN discontinued colours - these will be retiring at the end of the current catalogue (30th June 2013) but they will only be available while supplies last! So if any of your favourites are going, you might like to stock up on cardstock, ink pads and markers while you have the chance.. once they're gone, they're gone!! Stampin' Up! News

I have a couple of quick pieces of news to share with you today.

Android app

Last November Stampin' Up! introduced the Simply Sent App for iPhones and iPads. This is a quick and simple way of sending an electronic card created by you. Those of you with Android devices have unfortunately had to wait until now, but you too can now download this FREE App. The Android App can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.

Those of you with iPads or iPhones the App who haven't already been using this app, it can be downloaded FREE of charge from iTunes or the App Store. Why not check it out and surprise your friends and family.

Petite Curly punch

If you didn't manage to get your hands on a free Petite Curly Punch during Sale-A-Bration (SAB) they are now available for purchase (as hinted in the SAB catalogue). The cost is £11.50 and they will be available through 30 June. Please note that they will also be included in the 2013-2014 Main Catalogue (coming 1 July) so they will be here for some time to come thankfully as it co-ordinates with the Ciao Baby stamp set in the Spring/Summer Catalogue.
